Cool Camp is located in the west of Mali and is an initiative to supply travellers with a nice and quite place to camp.
Specially for those travelling between Senegal and Mali or Mauretania and Mali, Cool Camp is safe abd ideally situated. Located on the Baffing river, just one kilometer behind the big Dam of Manantali, Cool Camp is a nice quite place where you can relax, do some hiking, swim in the clear and cool water, visit a local African village, ride my horse or just relax under one of the big Mango trees. And if you are still bored and you have the energy, you can always help with some projects.
We have an ablution block with (cold) shower and toilet and fireplaces to cook or enjoy a nighttime campfire. There are two tradtitional African huts with bed for rent, inluding shower and toilets.
Currently no food facilities are available but there is an excellent local restaurant in town. There is also a market every day in town (at about 2km) for your fresh produce as well as plenty of shops.
